Activity Room - Dover Drive


Sandie Corley our Activities Coordinator with help from staff and friends arranges a variety of sessions such as arts and crafts, cookery, music appreciation, pamper sessions and BBQs.


This is our fun place where we have parties to celebrate birthdays, Halloween, Christmas, pancake day and even Australia Day


Chill Chill


Drop in time is special at Dover Drive pamper sessions include manicure,pedicure also make up and hair dressing for the ladies.


Art and craft sessions are always fun with painting and papier-mâché model building.


Chill Chill


Cookery - one of our favourite activities making bread, soup, puddings, baked potatoes and puddings


Don't forget to bring your ingredients


Soon we hope to have our own cooker in the activity room


Swimming


Thursday is our swimming day at the Northgate Arena



The facilities here are excellent with many activities available for a modest £1.10 entrance fee



The pool has easy access with disabled changing rooms and a needs specific instructor


Cycling


Monday is cycling day at New Scene, Chester and on Fridays we cycle in Whitby Park


There is no charge for this activity. Access is easy and parking is free. Always with expert help and advice on hand.


There is a bike for everyone tricycles, hand bikes , company bikes and go carts.




Rambling


On Tuesday 'whatever the weather' we go rambling to local parks, woods and gardens.


All of the places we visit have easy access and free parking with a blue badge, even the beach where we go beachcombing


We enjoy riverside walks, hill walks and forest walking. After our exercise we usually have a picnic lunch



DISCOS AND PARTIES


Wednesday and Thursday evenings are disco time


Great Sutton village hall is the venue for our Wednesday night disco, where we dance the night away. £1 entrance fee with a bar and tea or coffee available.


The special occasions are the Christmas party and Prize giving evening at the Civic Hall, Ellesmere Port


There is a bar but alcohol is not provided


Thursday evening is the British Legion disco with an entrance charge of only 50p



Multi-sports


Cheshire Oaks High School is the venue for our multi-sports on Tuesday evenings
